Let The Truth Be Told

id•i•o•cy [id-ee-uh-see]
-noun 1. Extremely foolish behaviour

Okay, so a friend of mine handed in her resignation letter from her job and gave her 7 days notice. Main reasoning for doing so: Boss is wack, to say the least.

Now good old Facebook and Status Updates never cease to amuse. A community discussion ensues and it is learnt over the next hour that the boss went out and purchased an expensive candle for the 'Resignee' as a farewell gift.
An onslaught of comments and remarks follows, ranging from praise for finally leaving the place, to unrestrained criticism of the boss. And within all that, this gem of a statement is found, in reference to the parting gift and the boss:

Bahahaha!

GOLD!

So perfect! So metaphorically correct! So beautifully said.

It had me banging my head in laughter. What about you? Well said?

It's Mine!

won [wun]
-verb 1. Be successful or victorious in.

Aww shucks, eBay. You really know what to say to make a guy feel special.

Referring to my most recent post prior to this, I have now won the Duffle Jacket I was after.
Now I wait.
Then when I receive, I design.
When I finish designing, I wear.
While wearing, I brag.

Haha! Another update to come!

It Has Been Found..

du•ffle coat [duh-ful cote]
-noun 1. A hooded overcoat of sturdy wool, usually knee-length and fastened with toggles.
I have found it.
The coat I've been searching for.

Seeing the always beautiful Zooey Deschanel wearing an awesome pea coat in Yes! Man just convinced me to make this. I told you, Danny, Ali & Sharad.
I've been looking for this for so long. This sexy black Duffle Coat, straight from the factories of South Korea. Haha..
Now when I finally purchase it, I will meticulously go about modifying and designing it into the exact coat I have been wanting to make.
New trim, new lining, new toggles and a hand stitched signature. It's going to be AWESOME.
I'll post the finished product if/when I finish it. =]

That is all.

Free Money Not Good Enough For Ya?

pa•tience [pey-shuh ns]
-noun 1. An ability or willingness to suppress restlessness when confronted with delay.

Hello there.
Post #1 here. And I'm already annoyed. Haha.
I cannot be anything but a little annoyed right now. We Generation Y'ers have it good. Too good.
You'd have to be in one of the 67 (or more) uncontacted peoples in the Amazon to not know that the world economy is falling (and still is). Australia is now in recession and the GDP is slowing. Our shining mandarin-speaking knight aka Kevin Rudd does his bit and introduces measures to try and stimulate the Australian economy. Some odd, some risky, some unpopular and most of all three, but at least there is action.
So one of these measures is the Second Round of Stimulus Payments to eligible members of the population. To my understanding, criteria to satisfy amounts to having filed ones' Tax Return for the previous year, and voila, a cheque for AUD $900 (for most of us) is on its' way to you, if not already. And the aim is to spend these payments to inject some needed cream filling into the economy so it can get fat again.

I have my facts right, don't I? Mr Kevin 07 is going to give ME nine hundred big ones to spend on whatever I want, and all I should do is make sure that it IS spent, thus putting money into the ecomony, which in turn saves jobs around the world, including my own?

Sign me up! Oh wait, I don't even have to sign up? I just need to pay my taxes? Wow. Thanks Mr PM.

So what am I supposed to be annoyed at, then? I'll tell ya. You. Yeah, that's right..you. Okay just some of you, but you'll know. And if you aren't, you'll know people like I'm about to mention.
I cannot count with my fingers and toes how many people I know who've been complaining about the swiftness of these Stimulus Payments.
Comments range from 'Hurry up kevin so I can get my new sneakers' and I want my payment now k. rudd' to 'Bloody hurry tha fk up and pay me, assholes!'

Are you for real?

Shut up.

Call me old fashioned but I wouldn't complain when I get free money for nothing, especially from the Government. I think it's valid to complain if they opened uranium plants, or introduced useless pre-mixed alcohol taxes, but having to wait a few weeks for free money? Scoundrels.

My 1991 Toyota Paseo will be happier than me, for she is receiving a well deserved full service when I get my cheque in the mail. Sure I'd like that to happen as soon as possible, but what's a few weeks wait? Can't you just be a little patient and appreciate what you're being given? Come on, alot of you are just going to blow it on overseas made products from offshore companies. Helping other nation's economies more than ours here in Australia.

Maybe I'm taking this too seriously, and most of y'all are just joking around when you talk about these payments. But it just highlights a new age of increasing 'disappreciation'. Yes, I made that word up, but it's not hard to understand. We all just want everything, without appreciating what we are dealt. I merely use this Stimulus Payment reaction as an example.

That's my first rant. Now I'll go back to waiting.
